People gobsmacked after headteacher tells 6-year-old to start wearing bra

People have been left gobsmacked after hearing how a headteacher told a six-year-old girl to start wearing a bra if she wanted to put an end to her . The woman, now aged 29, shared how when she was in the first grade - around six-years-old - her male approached her in the lunch hall to tell her to start wearing a bra.

While she believes his actions were 'coming from the right place', she still feels the conversation was inappropriate and negated her issues with bullying. She said on : "I genuinely feel like he might've been a girl dad as it was more coming from a place of 'concern' if you will.

"Right before he told me that at the time, a girl in my class was bullying me. She was the one telling me in front of everyone I needed to start wearing a bra."

The third time she said in front of her, they had a physical altercation, followed by a "talking to". However, she didn't really get in "trouble". She added: "So I'm assuming that's why he felt compelled to tell me..."

While some users commented on how inappropriate this is to say to a six-year-old, others shared their own similar stories.

One user said: "1st grade? Come on." Another user added: "I remember being around 11 or so and my uncle told me I should be wearing one in the middle of church. I've never been close to him. In fact that was probably the most interest he's ever taken into me."

A third user said: "Six? 1st grade, so six-years-old? Not cool. Even if it was coming from a place of concern, this is a conversation he should have had with your parents.

"What, was he was more comfortable saying that to a child and not the parents? Well, how did that make you feel? Do you think it was appropriate then? How about now with time to reflect? I am a father of a 13-year-old. I would be livid if that happened to her."

In response to this, another user added: "Puberty is occurring earlier and earlier. I work in a classroom with children who have autism/ sensory processing disorders.

"One girl got public hair at 7. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but she perseverates over it, pulls it out, and from what I gather, nobody even discussed puberty with girls until they're at least 11/12.

"That being said, dude is a creep and needs to be fired or given a hefty training on acceptable behaviour. I'm 33, and stopped wearing bras as much as I can while maintaining being socially acceptable. Jackets. Hoodies. Baggy shirts and sweaters.

"That being said, nobody should be body shaming a six-year-old girl, and that man needs to experience a live feed of his balls getting clamped in a vice grip slowly. Ick"
